Coachella Festival 2013

Coachella is one of the most biggest music festivals, bombarded with A-Lister celebs! It goes without saying that I am so jealous of the celebrities who jetted off the to Palm Springs for one of the most (lets face it) stylish festivals! Spring/Summer trends have now dominated all the high street stores, and I know that I will be taking fashion inspiration from this festival! Celebs such as Alexa Chung, Kate Bosworth, Rita Ora, Whitney Port, Solangne Knowles and Alessandra Ambrosio attended the high profile event and I have posted underneath the chic outfits they wore!

Dissertation

Time is flying by and I am now at the final part of my fashion course!

This year has been a tough one, but I can secretly admit that the hard work definitely pays off in the end.

For my dissertation, I had to come up with a fictitious business that would succeed in the current market! After a few frustrating weeks of brainstorming different ideas, an idea finally came to me!

I decided to create a company that supplies clothing to TV production companies, sourced from a variety of retailers – and formed the name TV Wardrobe.

Over the past 3 months I have actually enjoyed creating this pretend business, and now the dissertation is printed (phew – such as relief) I now have to create a portfolio of creative elements in order to communicate the brand.  I have been using the software InDesign to create a website, social media marketing and two sales booklets (one for the retailers, and one for the production companies).

Style Diary

Millie Mackintosh is quickly becoming a major style icon! 

Not only is she a reality star on the hit show Made In Chelsea, but she is also a make-up artist, model and now has her own style blog! This blog is perfect for people like me, who loves everything Millie wears - but never knows where her gorgeous clothes are from!

I am in awe of the way Millie mixes high street and high end fashion together!

All the pictures that are posted show the MIC beauty walking around Chelsea and posing for stunning images.

Underneath shows Millie wearing a black playsuit from Warehouse, a pretty lace cream shirt from Sandro (which can be found in Selfridges), and a gorgeous striking bag - which shocked me is from Accessories. This outfit is bang in trend!

Millie is showing the world that high street fashion is stylish, affordable and trendy! 

Now we can all steal her wardrobe!

Louis Vuitton - Tom Craig

Louis Vuitton, one of the world's leading international fashion houses, has revealed it will host an exhibition of Tom Craig and Bay Garnett's most iconic images in association with the Vogue Festival.  Tom Craig is an amazing British photographer who has shot multiple images for Vogue. I always take inspiration from him and love opening up Vogue to see the stunning images that he has captured! 

 The exhibition, called All Four Corners, will showcase a collection of beautiful photographs taken for Vogue, starring a mixture of actresses and models - including Rachel Weisz and Stella Tennant. 

The festival will take place from April 27th-28th at London's Southbank Centre.

Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Michael Kors and Christopher Kane will all appear at the event, making it a festival NOT to be missed!

The photographs that I have posted below are so effortless and beautiful! The scenery looks very English, and almost has a retro feel - like it was set in the 50's.  A feeling of bygone days. The model adds to the feeling of natural beauty, and gives a feel of simple times! 

I am sure you will agree that all the images are stunning!

 

Beyonce for H&M

Beyonce is set to be the new face of H&M! I am a massive fan of the stunning singer, and the new summer H&M campaign is just gorgeous! The shoot was taken in Bahamas in January by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. If only England could bring some sunshine to our lives! The new campaign will hit stores and online from May.

Beyonce revealed - "I've always liked H&M's focus on fun affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements - fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial".

Marc Jacobs unveils the new Diet Coke designs!

Marc Jacobs has designed the new Diet Coke bottle/can design - and i LOVE it! It was just yesterday when i saw the designs, as I was out for dinner with my sister and we both thought it was brilliant! Marc Jacobs launched his new limited edition bottles last night in London, and the bottles have now gone on sale in Selfridges!

As part of year-long partnership, Marc Jacobs was chosen as the new Creative director as Diet Coke is set to celebrate its 30th birthday. The collection of bottles and cans will be unveiled across 11 countries!! 

 Marc Jacobs said: 'I feel very privileged to be the new Creative Director of Diet Coke and put my stamp on the 30th Anniversary campaign. Diet Coke is an icon… and I love an icon.'

Each bottle shows a different model, one bottle shows a model with a suit and a top-hat, another shows a model in a pink dress and the last one shows a woman wearing monochrome stripes. 

Diet Coke has also launched a short film called 'Photo Booth Break' starring the amazing Marc Jacobs.. with his top off!!! I have posted a picture underneath for all of you to see!

Comic Relief

Comic Relief returns on the 15th March and Stella McCartney and Kate Moss have designed this years T-shirts! Photographers Helena Christensen and Mary McCartney photographed the celebrities wearing the t-shirts, celebs such as David Walliams and Cameron Diaz!

The t-shirt consists of five designs, with iconic prints featuring The Beatles, Tommy Cooper, Marilyn Monroe, Kate Moss and a child's giraffe print t-shirt.

The t-shirts are available at TK Maxx, or online on www.rednoseday.com.

Everyone needs to buy one, and it is for such as a good cause!
